The first month was a whirlwind ofactivity and full of mind-blowing experiences and dramatic first impressions. The second month I was forced to become the leader, a job that required a greatdeal of concentration, planning and constant decision-making. This third month, then, is where I seem to have hit my stride.

Guatemala Trip Report
November 20, 2007
Dear cherished colleagues
in the Guatemala Partnership,
Having just returned from the sub-tropics, I now look out the window at snow.
In Santa María people often asked if the weather is cold in Needham this
time of year. I told them usually, but this year it was different.
I passed along what Kay told me on the phone after her return that it was
warm, with leaves still on the trees. Clearly the cold and snow was just
waiting until I got home.
Streamline Your Pledge
Submitted by revsusan on April 18, 2007 - 2:27pm.Pledging takes some time and thought. When I make a pledge I really think about what the church means to me and what statement I want to make about the importance of God among my priorities. Jesus was clear in his understanding that our finances reflect our values. So when I make my pledge I try to think about making it enough of a commitment to mean something. I also want this commitment to be enough of my budget that I feel good about it.

Church Stories
The Stories of The Congregational Church of Needham
As part of our church's celebration of our 150th anniversary one of our goals is to build deeper friendships in our congregation, and really get to know one another. This anniversary is so much more than a birthday party. It is time to remember the past, celebrate the present, and envision the future of our church. One way to celebrate the present is to recognize the rich diversity of people who belong to this church and believe in our mission as a people of faith. Part of sharing in a covenant community like ours is sharing our stories and listening to one another. We have invited members of our church to speak about how they found our church and why they belong to this congregation and believe in our mission.
